Who We Are

Oklahoma Educational Improvement
Grant Organization

An Educational Improvement Grant Organization (EIGO) allows Oklahoma taxpayers the opportunity to invest in our public school system. These organizations contribute their funding to Oklahoma public schools, ensuring all districts have the support they need for innovative programming. 

Forming Lives OK EIGO is working toward improving student hope through the “My Best Me” curriculum, a emotional intelligence program to help reduce the impact of stress and build resilience against adverse childhood experiences.

BRING HOPE TO CHILDREN

HOPE RISING EDU

Our Partner Program

Forming Lives OK EIGO has partnered with Hope Rising Edu to bring the “My Best Me” curriculum to Oklahoma schools. This Emotional Intelligence program, which also includes teacher training, was enacted in 2011 and launched in 2013. In 2022, a resolution to the state statute allows more flexibility to who can receive funding.

How It Began

The Oklahoma Equal Opportunity
Education Scholarship Act

The Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act (68 Okla. Stat. §2357.206) gives individuals and businesses tax credit for contributions made to non-profit organizations that provide school scholarships to students who meet the income and/or zoning requirements. The program was enacted in 2011, launched in 2013, and a recent resolution in 2022 to the state statute allowed more flexibility to who can receive funding.

Through Forming Lives OK EIGO, taxpayers have the opportunity to invest in our public school system to bring the first hope-certified emotional intelligence curriculum to classrooms.
